Help save other dogs like me!

Dodgerslist saved me from being euthanized by educating my Mommy and Daddy about alternative treatments since they couldn't pay for my surgery. Please read their request for help so that they can continue saving other doggies like me! If you can't help, please share this with others and help spread the word!

Hello:

My name is Dodger and I'm the inspiration for Dodgerslist. I had Intervertebral Disc Disease. I was possibly prematurely euthanized because my owners were not aware of all the treatment and care options available to treating Dachshunds with IVDD. Linda Stowe founded Dodgerslist to try to prevent others of my breed from that same fate.

Today, Dodgerslist is a very busy online educational resource and support group helping others gain knowledge and getting emotional support during and after healing. The members of Dodgerslist who are manning the message board and responding to calls for help are all volunteers.

Dodgerslist also prints brochures, business-type cards, and a quarterly newsletter called "Dodger's Digest". The Digest is a full-color publication with helpful articles on a wide range of topics about general health, IVDD, nutrition, and other Dachshund related information.

I need to ask: Can you help Dodgerslist? Your donation to our September 8th raffle at the Midwest Dachshund Festival will go towards the cost of printing and mailing all those brochures, cards, and our newsletter. Also, it will help pay for the cost of www.Dodgerslist.com plus placement of ads in dog and breed specific newsletters and magazines.

I'd just like to say thank you for your support in helping us to spread the word about IVDD as a disease, and that life for IVDD dogs can be a happy life. Most importantly, thank you on behalf of all the dogs whose lives you will help save through your generosity in assisting us in our quest to spread the word about IVDD.
